Project Overview

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories is an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company based in Hyderabad. Dr. Reddy's manufactures and markets a wide range of pharmaceuticals in India and overseas. The company has over 190 medications, 60 active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for drug manufacture, diagnostic kits, critical care, and biotechnology. 

We partnered with Dr. Reddy’s to create a marketing piece and instructional video for their newly launched e-commerce platform Dr. Reddy’s Direct.

Client

Dr. Reddy’s is driven by the urgent need for more affordable, innovative medications. With every product launch, they’re making healthcare more affordable while delivering value to the pharmacy like never before.

Today, there are millions of people who have benefited from their medicines. Their products span across major therapeutic categories including gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, pain management, oncology, anti-infectives, pediatrics, and dermatology. A variety of forms, including tablets, capsules, injectables and topical creams, are available. In addition, their growing product pipeline delivers the promise of even more life-changing medicines in the future.

As emerging formulations and advanced therapeutics become available in the future, Dr. Reddy’s will continue to build one of the largest offerings in the industry and bring value to the pharmacy and its customers. Driven by the urgency and increasing need for good health, they are committed to improving access to medications across the United States.

Audience

Dr. Reddy Direct’s e-commerce strategy is primarily focused on business to business with hospital organizations. Hospitals order low-cost pharmaceutical medicines from Dr. Reddy’s in bulk, so we needed to make it simple and easy for hospital administrators to learn how to navigate their e-commerce platform, while getting them excited to use it through the marketing piece.

Approach

We worked alongside the video agency, Let There Be, to produce these spots for Dr. Reddy’s Direct. While Let There Be led the client relationship, our creative ideas came forth throughout each step of the process. We took a step-by-step milestone approach to this animation project to make sure our team, Let There Be team, and Dr. Reddy’s was aligned every step of the way.

While Alex’s team at Let There Be concocted the scripts we would base the videos off of, our team developed mood boards based off Dr. Reddy’s brand system to visualize the style and feel of the graphic and animation assets. Then, we sketched each scene in Procreate to visualize the ideas in our heads for our clients. Once we had general approval on sketches, we designed and iterated on the consistent visual assets that would be seen throughout the project, such as injection needles, pills, and pill bottles.

After aligning on video style, asset design, and general sketches, we developed “style frames” for each scene. We worked conceptually on how each scene would flow together, particularly using the circular elements to “bubble up” and transition us in and out of scenes.
